Jeff's wish: A Final Goodbye to his Wife Mary Anne
Donation protected
My hero, my older brother Jeff Garnett, just lost his wife of 24 years, Mary Anne. My brother has led a very difficult life. When he was born 65 years ago, he weighed just a little over 2 pounds. My mother was told the night he was born that he would not live. He is now 65 and the kindest man I've ever known in my life. He was born and raised in Midland. He walked with a limp much of his life from his cerebral palsy. Around 35, he ended up losing feeling in his arms and legs, and now he is in a wheelchair all the time. Jeff and his wife have lived with nothing most of their lives. Mary passed away on Sunday, December 29. There is no money to pay for a funeral. They are not doing anything fancy; she is being cremated. The cost for this funeral is nearly $3000. On top of that, the handicap-accessible van my brother depends on as a lifeline is literally falling apart. I'm hoping to raise enough money to cover the cost of the funeral for his wife and to get some repairs done on the van so Jeff can continue to live his life as independently as possible, even while in his electric wheelchair.
