Jenika's Battle with Leukemia

Donation protected
Jenika has recently been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She was diagnosed at the end of her senior year. She just graduated while in the hospital with a 4.0 from Salinas High School. The week before her diagnosis, Jenika received MVP in the inaugural Central Coast AllStar basketball game, qualified for CCS trials in track, and had her college signing for The College of Idaho; where she received a full-ride scholarship to play basketball. Jenika is a friend to everyone and is loved by all! She was voted for prom queen, but unfortunately, it was her first night staying at the hospital. Jenika missed out on all the end-of-the-year senior activities and walking in her graduation. She will have to defer college for this upcoming year.

Jenika now faces a long road of treatment at Lucille Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford. She will have to remain in the hospital throughout her six month battle.  She will not be allowed visitors during that time.

This unexpected challenge will be a substantial financial burden to her family, as her parents, Jennifer and Jason, will need to be with her throughout her treatment.
