Help Jennifer Pay for Trans Healthcare

I have intense gender dysphoria and after living and working in abusive environments, a lot of that dysphoria centers around my face. Facial Feminization Surgery has a demonstrated success rate in easing dysphoria. Often, when people think of a trans woman seeking FFS they have trouble understanding why it is necessary or they consider it an issue of vanity. But for those of us who experience this kind of dysphoria it's not about vanity. Rather, we are trying to feel at home in our own bodies and be safer in public spaces. FFS is a necessity for me because I need to recognise the person in the mirror as me. I want to be out in public without the crushing fear of being clocked as transgender by a neighbour or stranger. I am afraid for my safety and I am afraid of how that potential violence impacts my fiancée and friends. I have been saving everything I can spare for FFS and working hard to get promoted to a position that offers health insurance. This year my promotion came through and I selected an insurance that is "trans inclusive." I had enough in savings to cover my co-pay and time off work, I got my letters of medical necessity, applied for pre-certification, and was assured by my insurance representative I would get it because Aetna covers trans healthcare. I scheduled my FFS surgery for November 10 and paid the deposit. On August 21, I received a letter from Aetna explaining they could not pre-certify my surgery because my Aetna employer group, the US DoD, denys all transgender and gender transition related services in accordance with the Trump administration's anti-transgender policies. I have saved almost $12,000. Now I need to raise another $8,000 or I will lose both my deposit and my surgical window. I've worked hard to get this far and cannot finish this on my own.
