Jennalyssa (Jenna) Chairez is an 18 year old young woman fighting for her life who was once a happy and lively outstanding achiever with dreams until this past Saturday morning. Jenna was struck from behind by a drunk driver . Jenna’s dreams stopped that morning when she was doing a random act of kindness for her friend who needed a ride.
Jenna is hospitalized at University Medical Center of El Paso . Jenna is in a coma and on life support as she has suffered traumatic brain injuries. Her condition is severe and she is at risk of suffering seizures and strokes.
Jenna is a fighter but faces many obstacles and will suffer with the complexity and immensity of who she is now and who she used to be. She truly needs our help !
Jenna was scheduled to attend UTEP this fall with a commitment to study to become a Pediatric Nurse. She loves caring for young babies and often volunteer to care for children. She adores animals too and worked in a Pet Store part time to supplement her future college finances.
Jenna’s family is praying for help to provide her with the best care possible with a Neurobehavioral Rehabilitation treatment which is a center for Neuro skills. Jenna needs an intense program of therapy and cannot attend a regular rehab place, It would not provide her the full treatment she truly needs. This rehab will provide Jenna every opportunity to become well.
Her mother Julie Rocha has faith that soon her daughter will continue to fulfill her dreams as every mother’s wish. The Centre for Neuro Skills is the rehab facility that cost $850 - $2,500 per day depending on the intensity of her treatment.
