Help Jenna fight her Colon Cancer battle

Donation protected
Hello,

Most of you know who I am; many may know my story, but I haven't gone public yet. After 3 long years, I have decided it was time to share my story. I have never been the type of person to ask for help, pity, or attention, but I have gotten to the point in my journey where I am now asking for your help. Three years ago, amidst the Covid pandemic, while living abroad in a foreign country, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer at 32 years old. A shock that I had never thought could happen to me. However, the dreaded disease still progressed. When the diagnosis came, it had already spread to my liver, spleen, and surrounding lymph nodes. They gave me a 14% chance of living for the next 5 years. I was devastated, but I wouldn't give up without a fight. I had surgery for a colostomy bag and then started my chemotherapy treatment. The chemo was working, and the tumors shrank enough that they could perform my surgery. They removed my spleen, gallbladder, appendix, a section of my colon, and a section of my liver. There were still a few spots on my liver that couldn't be removed. The chemo went on. Fortunately, I was living in a different country where the cost of everything was covered. Fast forward 3 years, I finally moved back to the United States to be with my family. My insurance was great, almost everything was covered, and I continued on. Now I have a chance for a CURE! Yes, a CURE! I can get a liver transplant to remove the rest of my cancer, however, THE INSURANCE COMPANY DENIED MY TRANSPLANT!! Now I'm fighting with the insurance and it's not cheap. I do plan on winning this battle with them, and then I will be on my way to my transplant. I'm asking for help. With ongoing hospital stays, running to and from Chicago, the time spent outside of work, and the time my husband takes off work, it's starting to weigh heavily on us. If there is any chance you would like to donate, the appreciation would be astronomical. Thank you for reading a bit about my story, and remember, don't be like me... It's okay to ask for help.
