Jenna Redman Kidney Rejection Fund
Donation protected
Jenna was born with Polycystic kidney and liver disease. She received a kidney transplant when she was 1 year old. Eleven months later her body rejected it. At the age of 2, Jenna received a kidney and liver transplant and thrived until she reached high school. By the end of her senior year, her kidney was no longer filtering adequately and was worn out. Fortunately, her dad was a match and donated one of his kidneys to Jenna. That was six years ago. Two years ago, Jenna started having symptom of kidney failure once again. The doctors determined she was rejecting the kidney. After six weeks of treatment, the rejection was reversed! Recently, Jenna has again started showing signs of rejection. Her blood pressure is high and she has swelling in her legs and feet. Lab tests show her kidney function is declining. A kidney biopsy performed a week ago revealed acute rejection once again. The treatment plan thus far includes IV medication to reverse the rejection. A side effect of the medication is poor immunity. Jenna is at extremely high risk for catching viruses and bacterial infections. She has not worked in months due to the pandemic. She applied for unemployment at the onset of the pandemic. Thus far, she has received no assistance. She had just returned to work when she found out about the rejection. Jenna is immunocompromised;therefore, she is unable to work right now. As many people know, the bills and expenses do not stop due to illness and the inability to work. Please keep her in your prayers. Any amount to help Jenna is deeply appreciated!
