My name is Amy Rhode and my husband Jon and i have a smart, talented and beautiful daughter named Jenna.
Jenna has suffered from severe jaw pain for 4 years. After years of doctor visits, she has now been diagnosed with Idiopathic Condylar Resorption of the temporal mandibular joint. This disease is causing the degeneration of both the upper and lower jaw bone and joints. She is now faced with the need for total jaw reconstruction.
Although we have insurance through Jon's job, the surgeon's fee isn't covered, and we will be responsible for the majority of the costs. Also, I'm suffering from Muscular Dystrophy and am unable to work.
Jenna's recovery will be extensive and very painful. She will be unable to eat amy normal foods for the first four months and will be on a liquid diet. It will be a year until normal function is restored.
