Jennie Baxla Memorial Bench
Donation protected
Jennie Baxla, lover of all things feathered and furred, was, in her own words, “murdered by cancer” on July 5th, 2022.
Jennie was a former Volunteer Program Manager at the PAWS Wildlife Center, where she inspired 100s of volunteers to give their time to the rehabilitation of Washingtons' wildlife. She was also a DCR Specialist who championed the PAWS organization on social media and fought the good fight to ensure PAWS was represented professionally. Her ability to speak for us on social media was unique, and we were in awe of her ability to use her words to help all animals in need.
Jennie fought a very arduous fight against a very aggressive and horrible cancer. Her ability to face this devastating disease was an inspiration to us all.
Some of the PAWS staff would personally love to honor her by creating a bench in her memory. This bench will be placed on our new Snohomish wildlife campus for staff and volunteers to sit on and enjoy the views. It’s an opportunity to have Jennie’s presence with us as PAWS starts this new journey. There will also be a garden in the area.
Please consider donating below if you want to help us achieve this goal. The above picture is a reasonable facsimile of what the bench will look like.
