Jennifer Adams Brain Surgery Medical Recovery

Donation protected
Hello, I am Jennifer Adams sister and I am setting up this fund to help her with her unexpected medical recovery and expenses. She had recently been in a vehicle accident which caused a slow leak of brain fluid into her mastoid gland behind her ear. This caused aweful headaches and shooting pains through her head which was becoming unbearable, and could result in spinal meningitis if not resolved. Her only option was a brain surgery to drain the mastoid gland and repair the brain leak.
On Monday August 29th 2022 she went in for the surgery with the expectation of being home that Friday with a semi short recovery time. When they went in to repair the brain leak, they found multiple additional small leaks that had to be repaired as well. She has had many many common and uncommon side effects from the surgery, some which the doctors have stated have never been an issue before for this surgery. 3 days after surgery her face and neck began to bruise up real bad and she got Bell’s Palsy, and a very painful ear infection. Her eyesight has been affected with all the different symptoms and she has barely been able to see. She has had to begin therapies to retrain herself how to do everyday tasks including simple tasks like chewing, speaking and walking. Her rough recovery has been very unexpected and 10 days after being in the hospital they transported her to a rehab facility for another 2+ weeks to regain her independence and to continue to try and keep the symptoms under some sort of control. Please continue to send prayers and good vibes for a safe recovery
for my sister, and thank you for helping in anyway that you can! Every little bit will help❤️
❤️‍Update Jennifer Adams The results of her MRI with contrast came back with 2 concerning spots on her brain. Turns out, she has not been experiencing Bell’s palsy this whole recovery but in fact suffered a stroke three days after the surgery, and she does in fact have a brain infection on half of her brain and the other half shows she had a stroke!!! WOW! This is some kind of crazy roller coaster ride right here! The spots on the brain would be the dead spots caused by the stroke. The way it’s been explained is there is enough brain for the spots affected to re-route and make a full recovery, but we can’t promise anything. If you can imagine how she is feeling at this point, she just needs your continued prayers and good vibes for a full recovery. ❤️‍❤️‍ ❤️‍Update: please try to hold back from texting and calling Jenn at this time as she is still having a hard time seeing and still trying to digest what we’ve just learned and please don’t take it personal if you have texted and she hasn’t gotten back to you. She loves you all so much and appreciates the prayers and support, she is just SUPER overwhelmed with this frustrating news

❤️‍thank you so much for those of you that have been able to help out so far and give towards Jenn’s recovery, right now it will help towards her deductible and the co-pay she must pre-pay before each therapy session and her normal bills to keep them current. I have set up a separate account that I can manage her bills through to take care of them for her since she will not be able to return to work until further notice and unable to manage her bills…Every bit helps and is so appreciated ❤️❤️❤️thank you
