Hi, my name is Paul Godin and I am fundraising for my sister in law and brother, both non smokers. Unfortunately Jenn, my sister in law, had a severe covid and pneumonia bout 6 months ago and never fully recovered. Her lungs were affected and she had to use oxygen full time at work and home. Her lack of oxygen because of lung scaring has progressed to the point of hospitalization in Toronto with a lung transplant team. They currently reside in Ottawa. Although the procedure is covered the stay in Toronto and the 3 months after the operation for daily follow up are not. They need a 2 bedroom furnished apt for a minimum of three months. Toronto housing being what it is runs 6000.00 per month not including any other expenses that may follow. None of this is covered by any of their current medical plans.
