Jennifer Jamieson Copley & Breast Cancer Awareness
Donation protected
We would like to tell the story of our baby sister/daughter/auntie/mum/wife.
Jennifer was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in November 2022. This came as a huge shock to all the family and over time has become an extremely emotional rollercoaster for us all, especially Jennifer. We know a lot of women go through this and it’s our intention to create more awareness around breast cancer in young women. Jennifer is a self-employed singer and even though she has had the lump found removed (in January 2023) her journey to recovery has only just begun. Her cancer was an extremely aggressive form of cancer, with a high % of returning if certain organs within her body are not removed. Jennifer is now on a waiting list for her ovaries to be removed and waiting on a full breast reconstruction. As you can see from the photos Jen has the most amazing natural red hair (which she continues to shed due to the chemotherapy and medication she is on) so our goal is to raise enough money to purchase a real red hair wig to give Jen some of her confidence back. These items given the colour of her hair do not come cheap so we would like to ask anyone that has been touched by this awful disease to donate however much they can so we can purchase some real hair wigs for Jen. Whatever we raise 20% of it will go to Breast Cancer awareness and the rest will go towards two new wigs and support her with travel to and from the hospital (which is most days). As her family it has been extremely difficult to watch Jen go through this, and we could not believe the impact the medication she is currently taking was having on her day-to-day life. Life does not stop for anyone, and it hasn’t for Jennifer either. Kids still must be picked up from school, washing and looking after her home continues, shopping still must be bought, and Jen continues to be the best mum and wife to Darren and to her two children Max & Ruby, which doesn’t come without its challenges being 11 and 13. All her immediate family members will be taking part in the Tough Mudder challenge on the 8th of July in Sefton Park Liverpool.
We would like to raise as much money as possible for both Jen and breast cancer awareness. We would also like to say a huge thank you to all the NHS staff at Blackpool Victoria who have been a rock to Jen. Much love to all families who have experienced this and bring on Tough Mudder!!
