Jennifer Molloy-Pisacane’s Stroke Recovery
Jennifer Molloy-Pisacane has given her heart and soul to her patients for the last 20 years, but now it’s time to give back to her. On August 13, 2021 after working her shift at Smilow Cancer Hospital, Jenn suffered three major strokes and became very close to death. After a long stay in the ICU where she required a ventilator, feeding tubes, multiple scans and treatment, she made her way to Gaylord for 40 days. At Gaylord she underwent intense physical and occupational therapy where she learned to walk again, talk again and manage basic daily needs to function on her own. Jenn has been left with hearing loss, vision loss, imbalance issues and the inability to work.
Jenn is the true example of a giver. An example of all the good things a caregiver can be. I admire her greatly. She has given us friendship and now she gives us inspiration and perspective. She has touched so many of us in so many ways. Like Jenn, anyone’s life could change forevermore in a blink of an eye. While she has never once complained about the financial impacts that this has caused her, it is really sad, unfair and adds to the tragedy of the situation. Your emotional support, friendship, and prayers are so very helpful and appreciated by Jenn. Having said that, I thought that I would start this page to offer any financial assistance. Giving always makes us feel better and it will surely be accepted with gratitude by Jenn. Thank you.
