Jennifer Okray Relief Fund-Hit & Run

Over the weekend, our friend/family member Jennifer was away in Georgia spending some quality time with her family and friends when she was crossing the street and struck by a car.  The car left the scene and still has not been found!  She was immediately transported to a local emergency room.  Jennifer has a broken foot, sprained ankle, concussion, head lacerations, broken leg, 2 fractures in her pelvis, 5 spinal fractures, and many broken teeth.  She will be having surgery later this week on her leg, and then go to inpatient rehab.  They are unsure if she will need more surgeries, and there will be healthcare expenses.  It is hard to even wrap your brain around what happened or what her recovery will look like. 

Jennifer has many emotional, physical, and financial obstacles that lie ahead, some of which we haven't even begun to understand.  Jenn has a difficult time asking for help and does not want to ask for money, but our goal is to have as little financial impact on her long term as possible.  Beyond all of the medical expenses, there will be months of rehab, dental work, therapy, travel expenses (we still don't know when she will be cleared to come back to Illinois).  Additionally, she will need an alternative living situation with wheelchair access.  Any amount will help her on this journey.
