Jennifer Reinardy - House fire - Please Share
Hello everyone
In the middle of the last night, Jennifer woke abruptly to her dogs’ panicked barking and found that her living room had suddenly caught fire. The flames quickly blazed out of control, and Jennifer had to run outside with nothing but the clothes on her back. She immediately lost her entire house and everything she owned in this terrible, fast-moving fire. Many irreplaceable keepsakes and photos were lost, as well as all of her possessions – clothing, kitchen items, furniture, appliances, books, gifts, Christmas decorations, heirlooms, everything. Worst of all, her two beloved dogs Penny and Zeke were also killed in the blaze as she watched, helpless to save them and barely escaping safely herself.
Jennifer has already spent the past year battling Stage 4 colon cancer with a very difficult prognosis, and has quietly dealt with endless rounds of chemotherapy and aggressive treatments without complaint. The endless sickness and repeated complications have been extremely stressful and costly, but Jennifer is not the type to ask for anything, and she has simply soldiered on with the support of her loving family. The chemo was supposed to last for about a year, but even with the advanced treatment and doctors around the world discussing her complex case, it has been such challenge to treat the disease and she recently received the discouraging news that she is likely to be on chemotherapy indefinitely.
Last year’s impossibly painful and difficult news was already too much for anyone to bear; yet Jennifer has borne it with grace and has been an inspiration to many. She has always been the first to jump in and support others and she is the kind of person who gives all the time and resources she has away to others, taking care of herself independently. She lives a simple life and now this disaster, on top of everything else, is such an incredible and overwhelming burden. Please consider assisting with the endless costs of rebuilding the life around her from scratch as she continues to fight the invader within.
To the two sweet dogs, Zeke and Penny: We will always remember you, beloved companions, who had been such a huge support in Jennifer’s recovery process, keeping all the love in her heart and keeping all the despair and loneliness at bay when everything else seemed so bleak. You will not be forgotten.
Please share as widely as you can, dear friends. Anything you can spare to help is deeply appreciated.
