Jennifer Spahr Memorial Scholarship Fund

Jennifer Spahr was a Special Education Teacher at Central York Middle School. She was exuberant, dedicated, loving, caring, and so very authentic. She also wrote curriculum in conjunction with Leg Up Farm that was first used in her Emotional Support classroom and then later on Jen’s vision for Leading Change was transformed by the equine staff many times over the years. It has been used with children who are survivors of sexual abuse and/or domestic violence, children who had lost a parent and were in a grief support group, countless special education and emotional support classrooms, the summer school component for York City youth who have recently immigrated or migrated to the United States…….the list goes on. We would love to use Jen's memory to inspire others who are planning to pursue a Special Education degree, by providing scholarships, so that Jen's legacy can continue in the Special Education world.
