Jennifer Trisler Support Fund

Hi- As some of you know, our beloved Jenny was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. I think the picture on here captures her essence really well- beautiful, kind, optimistic, and many other good traits.

 

Long story short, Jenny hadn't been feeling right for a few months and a mammogram picked up an abnormality. After a myriad of tests, it was concluded that the breast cancer covered a pretty large area and has moved into her lymph system. So, aggressive treatment was warranted and Jenny had her second infusion last week. At this point, she expects to have an infusion every other Tuesday for about 5 months, a mastectomy, and then radiation therapy. She will likely be in treatment for about a year.

 

Wrapping your mind around a serious health diagnosis is difficult and takes some time to really grasp the magnitude of the life changes that are happening to you. There are so many emotions and practical concerns (being out of work, medical bills, etc.) to work through in addition to feeling really crummy at times. Anyone who knows Jenny knows how hard of a worker she is. She has been running her own business for years cleaning homes and commercial businesses. Unfortunately, this kind of physically demanding work is difficult to sustain while enduring aggressive treatments.

 

We know this will be a very challenging time for her & Rick and those of us who love her. But, she will beat this and the treatment is the only way to get there! We are starting this donation fund to provide a chance for those who wish to help out Jenny and Rick during this difficult time. We know that the pandemic has brought hardships for many and want to express that any amount will make a big difference. 

 

Jenny has expressed that she is beyond grateful for all the loving, caring, and supportive messages, emails, etc. she has received. It truly lifts her spirits more than we can know! We have created a Caring Bridge site to help keep all of us who care about her up to date on how her treatment is going and provide a central site to "swing by" and leave Jenny words of encouragement. More than anything, Jenny is asking for your prayers and if you belong to a prayer circle, let's get her name added!
