Jennifer's Memorial Fund

On October 17, 2016 I was notified that Jennifer had suffered one of her asthma attacks. Asthma had plagued Jennfier her whole life. She'd make several trips a year to the ER or had hospital stays to combat this. Even as kids I remember always making sure she had her inhaler before we left on adventures around the neighborhood. On this day though, her asthma proved more horrific than ever. Early in the morning as her oldest son Alex was getting ready for school, Jennifer could not breathe. She was able to tell Alex to call 911 and then she collapsed, her breathing stopped and her heart stopped. Alex tried his best to revive his mom as he waited anxiously for the paramendics to arrive. While Alex waited he did CPR which saved her life; unfortunately Jennifer was without oxygen for several minutes.

She was rushed to the local ER and transfered to the ICU where her body was cooled for days in hopes that the lack of oxygen did not do too much damage to her brain. MRI results show she did have damage in the center of her brain, essientially the brain was dead in this area. Even with this news Jennifer continued to amaze us everyday with her strong (and mostly stubborn) drive for life.

On April 14th in the wee hours of the morning  Jennifers body gave up the fight and she passed away peacfully.

Her husband Steve, and four children, Alex 17, Aaron 15, Alyssa 7 and Ava 4 as well as the full extended family and friends all had wonderful hopefullness in their hearts that the mom, wife and friend they love so much would  make a come back and beat the odds. But God had a different plan and now the family is planning a funeral instead.

Family always had been everything to Jennifer. Her kids are the reason she breathed and I imagine the reason she has fought so hard for the small victories we did see  during this tragedy. Her family would appreciate any donation you feel lead in your heart to send them druing this trying time.

Any money donated will be used to care for the funeral expenses, the kids needs, and to help Steve cover the immense medical expenses left over.

The family appreciates all the continued prayers and help from people both near and far.
