Jennifer's Surgical Costs

If you know our friends Jennifer and John McAndrew, then you know they will do anything to help anyone in need but rarely are willing to request help for themselves. Unfortunately, the past four years have been difficult as Jennifer navigates the lasting effects of past serious health conditions. She has suffered through increasingly severe jaw pain and dental traumas causing damage to her teeth. Having seen half a dozen specialists after months on various waiting lists and struggling through pandemic-era medical delays due to her medically high-risk status, she has finally met with a team of doctors that are willing to perform the Oral and Maxillofacial surgeries required to repair her jaw and teeth. Due to the standard limitations of dental insurance, anything beyond $1000 per year is the patient’s responsibility leaving Jennifer and John to pay almost the entire cost of her surgeries themselves. At a cost of over $50,000, it's an insurmountable amount for someone to pay simply to live without jaw and mouth pain. These costs are upfront and must be fully paid before they will proceed with surgery.

As her friends, it has been extremely disheartening to watch her struggle with pain and frustration as they try to find the funds to get Jennifer on a path to good health. We are coming together to ask for help on behalf of Jennifer, who has brought so much joy to so many and brought together an incredible group of people through her podcast, Haunted Happenstance.
