Jennifer's fight to beat breast cancer
Donation protected
First and foremost, thank you for making your way to our page to support Jennifer. She is a
dedicated mom to her two amazing sons, Johnathan and Nicholas, and she is a loving daughter
and a devoted friend to many of you. Jennifer discovered her passion for cooking many years
ago and with that began her journey to own a successful catering business out of her home.
Those of us who have had the pleasure of getting to know her, know she gives 100% to
everything she does. As you may know, Jennifer's life has been full of ups and downs over the past 2.5 years. After losing her husband of almost 20 years to COVID, and then her dad 8 short months later she has impressed us all and has continuously managed to find the strength to push forward through all life’s challenges. Though she has graciously continued to pick up the pieces, unfortunately, she has yet again found herself facing another challenge.
After recently receiving an ultrasound and multiple mammograms, Jennifer was told that she
needed to have 3 separate biopsies. She remained as positive as she could until she was called
to come back in to see the doctor. That’s when Jennifer then received the diagnosis that would
forever change her life. On July 7, 2023, Jennifer was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer that
was invasive HER2+. She has since decided that this diagnosis is not going to defeat her.
With the help of her Nurse Navigator, Kathy, Jennifer was able to put together an amazing team
of doctors to help her aggressively fight this ba[le. Her team of doctors immediately began to
put a treatment plan together, which will begin with a radical mastectomy of the right breast,
followed by chemotherapy, and reconstructive surgery. As Jennifer completes her treatment
plan, the real road ahead will include ongoing medical costs and the hardship of not being able
to run the successful business that she is so passionate about.
Despite this scary journey ahead, Jennifer has been incredibly resilient, transparent and
positive. Unfortunately, there is no avoiding the financial and emotional toll on her and her
family. If you know Jennifer, you know she is always there to help when others are in need, so
for her to seek help is an incredibly challenging and humbling experience. Jennifer has chosen to
meet this diagnosis head-on and is doing everything she can to persevere. To do that
she needs our support.
Jennifer’s family and friends are contributing to this fight by not only addressing the unknown
financial needs of this fight but also helping her ensure that everyday essentials, like groceries
and bills, are covered. We hope that our contributions will help the mounting financial burden.
All donations are greatly appreciated and will go directly to Jennifer and her 2 sons, Johnathan
and Nicholas.
