Hi My name is Jodi Breese and this story is about an amazing bestfriend/sister that I truly love and want to see grow old with me.
2001 she was misdiagnosed as having endometriosis and was told she would have surgery to remove one ovary and woke up from the surgery having a full hysterectomy and removing a tumor the size of a soccer ball. Due to the hysterectomy she was unable to have children which was a total shock to her and her future to have kids. She was never able to recovery fully as that surgery still didnt cure her illness. She's been in and out of the hospital with multiple surgeries since that happened. 2008 she then found out that what she really had was a very rare cancer that only 11 women in the US has ever been diagnosed with called Psammomacarcinoma of Ovaries. The cancer started to spread and by the time they realized what type it was it was already STAGE 3. She's had multiple treatments to try to figure out a way to end the cancer, but was unsuccessful and was told in 2014 that now she is non operable, incurable All while this is going on she is still trying to maintain her self worth by working a fulltime job as a manager and raise her nephew whom she has custody of. The strength and endurance this woman has is unmeasureable and unseen by the naked eye. She was sent to hospice and was told she would not see her 3oth birthday. Jennifer told Hospice she is not going to be one of those people who die with hospice, got her things and left out of that place......... Jenn will be celebrating her 40th birthday on Nov. 4 2016. She has given her life to Christ whom she praises to be able to see this day and everyday. Every day is a complete blessing and a struggle. There's no better way to explain what a SuperWoman is! Several hospitals, Moffitt, Shands, even the Mayo Clinic are telling her there are no other treatments for her at this point. But God spoke and said this is not the end.... Her current doctor at Shands recommended a doctor in Boca Raton that is a cancer scientist who can help her get to a doctor who can help her since this cancer is very rare. This cancer is a slow growing cancer. The treatments will be done in the US and some in Mexico, primarily the US with a total cost of approx $119,000. This cost will only cover treatment, not including her personal cost of travel, flight, hotel stay, gas and the normal cost of living. This is a once in a lifetime chance that we didnt even think was an option so this is very important to her and the ones that love and care for her as she is still trying to raise her nephew who only knows her as mommy.
There have been fundraisers, selling and making items to try to raise money and it has been extremely helpful but there is still more that needs to be done.
This fundraiser would mean so much to Jennifer as she is truly worth every penny and would be grateful for anything that you can. She is my bestfriend and is even through her pain she has always been there for me and my children. She raises her nieces and nephews as if they were her own. She brings so much light and inspiration to anyone she touches. She is truly a walking miracle and to be honest you could not look at her and tell what she has been through. Her faith has brought her so far which is why she lives her life day by day, smile by smile, fight by fight!!! Please Please Please help us anyway you can. Thank you and God Bless!
