Jenn Greenberg's Unexpected Expenses

As an advocate for children and abuse victims, primarily in the church, my work is largely confidential. It involves everything from alleged sexual harassment and assault to rape and even murder. In the past year or so, I have helped victims, family members, and church leaders report known or suspected crimes to law enforcement. I've helped pastors and parents navigate complex and potentially dangerous situations, and I have gathered and submitted evidence for ongoing police investigations.

I have never charged anyone a cent for these services. Sometimes a church will graciously give me an honorarium, but generally speaking, I am paid in happy tears and the relief of knowing a child is safe. I love my work, and my husband, Jason, supports me in it. The rewards are priceless, and not something anyone can monetize.

Last month, I encountered a situation where I needed specialized counsel, and I had to hire an attorney. Unfortunately, shortly before that, my car broke down, and now my computer is dying. $6,000 is a fraction of the expenses I’m facing, but if through your generosity and graciousness we’re able to raise that much, it will cover my legal expenses, and Jason and I can manage the rest.

I am immensely grateful for your kindness and support, and if you cannot donate money, please say a prayer for us. Specifically, please pray that God would give me great wisdom and endurance to continue in his service, and the energy and inner peace to be a good mom and wife as well.
