Jenny and Zach Martin
Donation protected
On Wednesday September 4th, Zach and Jenny Martin were on their way to work. Jenny is the music teacher at Penn Christian Academy in Penn Twp. As Zach was going through the intersection of Rt8 and Airport Rd, to drop her off at work another car hit the passenger side of their car. The force then flipped their car onto the drivers side. Both Jenny and Zach were severely injured and had to be life-flighted to Pittsburgh.
Jenny was on the passenger side and took the full force hit from the car. Jenny’s injuries include a broken clavicle, 10+ severely broken ribs that were basically shattered, a punctured lung, both lung were partially collapsed and required chest tubes on each side. She also had major abdominal bleeding that required surgery. There are other injuries that are still being evaluated.
Zach was the driver and took the full force hit of the road. He has multiple injuries to his entire body. The worst of these are the 7 broken bones in his neck. 2 of these bones were unstable, so he is currently in surgery to have a rod and pins placed in his C3-C7 vertebrae. He will be immobilized for a very long time to prevent the risk of paralysis.
These are amazing, God loving kids who would do anything for anyone. They will need our help now. It will be a very long time until either of them will be able to return to work.
First, we are asking for prayer- from all over- that God give them full healing.
Second, they will desperately need financial assistance to help them through this time. They are a young couple just starting out life and have little to no savings. We have no idea how many months it will take until they are able to return to their jobs. If you are able to donate, we would all greatly appreciate any help they can get.
God Bless you all!
