Jenny Colen health care fund

Donation protected
In January of 2019 Jenny Colen was diagnosed with advanced non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, an extremely serious form blood cancer.

Jenny’s cancer was far more stubborn than initially anticipated, and after nearly two-and a half years of quietly enduring the rigors of unsuccessful chemotherapy, experimental immunotherapy, a rollercoaster of trial and error, including being relocated to the east coast after exhausting options in Los Angeles, Jenny received an experimental bone marrow transplant at the National Cancer Institute, part of the National Institutes of Health. Since the treatment two months ago, the news from the transplant has been positive, and for that we are eternally grateful to Jen’s cousin Jeff, who donated his bone marrow, and to the doctors and nurses caring for her at the NIH, and in LA..

Despite positive signs from the latest treatment, Jen faces a long, tough road to recovery from the transplant. And despite finding the strength to continue working throughout her entire battle thus far, Jenny has just been laid off and the Colen family is facing the expense of Jenny's continued horrendously expensive medical care without employee sponsored health insurance.

We’ve had so many generous people asking us throughout this fight how they can help Jenny, Ben, and Zoey, and so far all we’ve been able to suggest is good vibes and checking in. We’ve put off asking for financial donations, but the time has come when we really must ask for your help in alleviating some of the financial burden and stress that comes with a long aggressive illness, treatment and recovery period.

Those who known Jenny and Ben, know them to be the most loving, giving, and supportive friends out there. And now it’s time for us to help them as they have helped so many of us.

Please help share this with our wonderful and supportive  community. Thanking you from the bottom of our hearts, for contributing whatever you can to Jenny, Ben and Zoey.
