Jenny Kobylinski's Cancer Survival Story

Donation protected
To know her, is to love her. Our dear friend Jenny Kobylinski received the call no one wants, and certainly not THREE times. Stage IV Triple Negative breast cancer was the initial diagnosis in November 2019 and as of September 2022 it has metastasized (spread) to her lungs. Triple Negative, ‘the dragon’, is the most aggressive type of breast cancer and unfortunately once has spread it is considered Stage 4 and there is no cure. Jenny is full of laughter, love and kindness and our hearts break knowing she will be in some form of treatment for the rest of her life.

Since her initial diagnosis in 2019, Jenny has undergone numerous types of chemotherapy, surgeries, physical therapy, and radiation. Now that the cancer has spread to her lungs, she shifted to immunotherapy and clinical trials. As recently as this summer, these trials have taken a toll on her heart. She is now navigating disability and healing, along with continuing new clinical trials and treatment options under the care of a team of doctors at UT Southwestern Cancer Center, Dallas.

All of this creates an enormous amount of uncertainty – both surrounding how long and involved the treatment will be as well as the financial burden. Even with great medical insurance, cancer is incredibly expensive. Jenny has been incredibly smart, conscience, and safe with her life, cancer sucks and drains all the fun. As Jenny’s closest friends, we’ve seen her experience more than her fair share of challenges. Prior to cancer Jenny endured a demanding few years in which she readjusted to life on her own. We’ve been in awe of her as she’s embraced each challenge with positivity, honesty, and her freaking awesome sense of humor.

By being our friend, Jenny has given us so much, yet she selflessly continues to give. Since her initial diagnosis, she has spoken out and encouraged her friends on the benefits of early detection, self-exams, and mammograms. Jenny’s always been one to take care of others, and she continues to do that even as her body goes through the wringer that is cancer and the treatments to fight it.

We feel now is our chance to give back to her! We want to be here for Jenny as she goes through all the physical pain and financial uncertainty of this devastating season. We also intend for Jenny to have fun and enjoy her life! We’re going to take our humble friend on adventures, make incredible memories, and refuse to let Jenny be kicked in the rear by this Triple N mofo while she is still here with us.

Your gift will help Jenny as she navigates the financial toll of cancer and lives each day with gusto. Contribute what you can and help spread the word. If you aren’t able to donate financially, your prayers, good thoughts, and positive vibes are much appreciated! When you stumble across a hilarious meme, tik tok, or twitter post and think of Jenny, send it her way and rest assured it will brighten her day.

We love you, JKoby!
