New Heart and Lungs for Jenny Ray Tippett
Donation protected
There are so many 'Friends of Jenny', and I am one of them! I have had the dual privilege of being both Jenny's 4th-grade teacher and a colleague of hers at Mangum Elementary School in Bahama, NC. Ms. Tippett, as her first-graders call her, is a deeply dedicated and talented educator who at the age of 43 recently underwent a heart and double lung transplant.
At age 15 Jenny was diagnosed with congenital heart disease. Over the last 10 years, she has lived with heart failure, constant atrial fibrillation, heart disease, pulmonary hypertension, and has suffered 4 strokes due to her heart condition. And yet she has continued to be a master educator who has given 20+ years of unwavering love to all her kids. Even in the midst of Covid and up until her pending surgeries Jenny demonstrated her dedication to her students by continuing to partner with her assistant, Kay, and a series of cameras to teach her class online.
Now 'Friends of Jenny' are asking for help. None of us understands the financial burden that accompanies a 130-day hospital stay, and the loss of wages needed to pay daily living expenses to support her and her two girls. Please consider partnering with the staff, students, and Bahama community to help restore our dear friend and teacher. We are thankful for God's faithfulness and your help.
