Jenny, Single mom of 4 taken by COVID-19

Dear friends, family, co-workers and the Indio community, it is with a heavy heart that we regret to inform you of the passing of our dear, kind, loving soul, Jenny Gutierrez (Menefee). Jenny was a single mom & dad to her 4 children, Jeremy-21, Xavier-17, Alexi-16 and Jezren-7. Jenny was an amazing mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin, niece, co-worker, boss lady and friend. Jenny worked tirelessly, spending many extra hours on nights & weekends to raise & support her 4 children. With only 1 income in the household, Jenny struggled immensely to put food on the table and support her children.

Jenny’s mom Christine Whitener will be collecting & distributing all donations directly to Jenny’s 4 children to cover rent, food, utilities, clothing, medical care & funeral expenses.

Jenny came down with COVID-19 just 2 weeks ago and succumbed to virus complications on November 9, 2021, she was only 39 years old. For those of you that knew her, you know that she was a FIGHTER and she fought until the very end. Her quick & tragic, untimely passing has left ALL who loved her in shock & disbelief.

Her untimely, sudden passing on Nov. 9, 2021 has left a tremendous hole in our hearts and also what seems like an enormous financial burden on her young family.

Jenny, sometimes known as Miss Jenny at the local Circle K in Indio,CA (Clinton & Fred Waring) where she was a Store Manager for the last 5 years, poured her heart & soul into being the best store manager/boss lady possible. She has also served various other Circle K locations in the Coachella Valley for another 5 years. Jenny had an unwavering work ethic and the utmost respect from all who encountered her. One of the 1st things you’d always notice about Jenny when you saw her was her beautiful face (always with makeup) and ALWAYS flawless, her Jenny-ism’s, her amazing smile and contagious laugh made employees & customers feel special & welcomed and she had a loyal following of regular customers, she’ll be missed by ALL.

Jenny’s 4 children are shocked & saddened by her passing as it was so quick and unexpected.

It breaks my heart to see her family worry about finances and how to take care of the children without her income. Clothe them, feed them, transportation, getting the kids to school, etc…..

Please consider helping out Jenny’s children through this difficult time as they navigate this tragedy and move forward in life without their mother.

These funds will go towards Funeral and Immediate expenses ( Est. $15,000), paying the rent for the next 12-24 months (Est. $50,000) and other bills (Est. $50,000) to cover food, clothing and other necessities for Jenny’s 4 children.
