Jenny is now recovering from extensive surgery and goes back soon to the City of Hope Cancer Center for a follow up. Although she is healing, she is also facing many medical bills for her surgery and treatment. Please consider donating and sharing.

I’ve included an update from her:

Hello all, I am back home from surgery a week ago today. Surgery was May 20, and from start to finish, I was inpatient/outpatient for a total of 23 days at the City of Hope, Cancer Center. In addition to surgery, they removed several of my lymph nodes- pathology came back negative which is amazing, and performed reconstruction from skin grafts. Prior to coming home, they removed my drains and most of my sutures. So, what’s happening now? I am focused on healing; this means utilizing pain management, using step stools and pillows to aid in mobility, making little walks to the stop sign on my street and back to the house, taking my supplements, trying to eat as healthy as possible, and resting. Your thoughts, prayers, and support are invaluable to me as I concentrate on getting better. So are the meals that some of you have already provided; that is extremely helpful to me. I go back up for follow-up appointments on Thursday with all my doctors; I am looking forward to hearing what my next steps are.

Again, I want to say thank you for your continued support as I work to get stronger and back on my feet. I could not get through all of this without each of you. I am grateful and humbled by the outpouring of love and support. Love, Jenny

ORIGINAL POST: Jenny’s girl tribe is raising money to help her with the medical costs necessary to treat cancer. On the advice of her physicians, she will be undergoing surgery next week. Because her diagnosis came as she was starting a new job, insurance will not cover the expenses associated with surgery and other treatment. As a single mom, counselor, and former teacher, Jenny is used to taking care of others and doing everything on her own. Please help us to raise enough money, so she can focus her energies on healing instead of the overwhelming treatment costs.
