Story

The last couple of years have been hard. I've been trying to keep a very small business alive during a pandemic, gone through a divorce, am once again navigating single parenthood- and now I also have cancer I'm surviving breast cancer specifically. My treatment plan is to undergo about two more months of chemotherapy (I'm already actually halfway through!), then to have a full/double mastectomy, after which I'll undergo about six weeks of radiation therapy followed by reconstruction surgery. I'm continuing to work full-time while undergoing chemo, but it's hard to keep up with bills and mortgage payments on my own, especially during our slow summers. On top of these and my new medical expenses, I also need to cover the cost of taking time off to recover after my surgeries. My goals: -a few unpaid hours per week for appointments, catching up, and bed rest -back-to-school basics (e.g. uniforms, supplies) -essential home repairs (e.g. water heater, central heating/AC, crown molding, tile) so I can refinance and downsize -a road trip with Alex to the beach for a few days of bonding and making memories
