Jenny’s Journey 2019
Donation protected
I’m an above the knee amputee for two years now, my insurance only allows basic medical needs; that means to the bathroom and back to bed. I lost my leg not my desire to live and enjoy with I love. I was a runner before this. When I realized my arms could allow me to run in my wheelchair I was on my way back to a new normal. However I have an indoor chair, not made for the rigorous and active life I choose. I can’t get the wheelchair that would complement my active life style. Remember they want me restricted to my bed!
I will be going a cross the United States in my wheelchair 4,000 miles. Jenny’s Journey 2019 begins March 30th.
My goal is to bring awareness to the need for proper mobility aids for the disabled. And touch the lives of other amputee. This is not the end...it’s a new beginning to a wonderful life.
My mission is to act as an instrument of positive change in the amputee community. I will utilize all of the talents that God has given me and will participate in all aspects in my life with energy, purpose and gratitude. I will utilize my talents in strategy and administration to ensure that my actions will benefit the community as a whole. I will seek out and experience all of the pleasures and joy that life has to offer. My core values are not limitations restraining me on this historic quest for freedom through mobility rather they provide a framework for identifying, pursuing, and achieving these pleasures that last the longest and are the most satisfying. The greatest joy is the freedom to enjoy life.
The success of this journey will definitely depend on your generous donations. Thank you for your help.
Sincerely
Jenny
