Jen's Bionic Neck 2.0 & More

Asking for help doesn't get easier- it gets HARDER- but once again, acting upon the advice of many loving friends, I'm asking for help as I face another medical hurdle.

On July 2nd, I'll be having neck surgery. Two additional levels (C2-C4) will be fused, among other things getting fixed in there, and this surgery and recovery will be more intense than my first in 2015. (Details will be added as updates when I'm able.)

Since 2011, I've experienced non-stop severe headaches, neuralgia, and neck/back pain due in part to my neck's structural problems. I also suffer from fibromyalgia and mental illnesses which have contributed to my inability to work reliably over the past few years. The first surgery brought some relief, but as my condition is degenerative and I've explored many traditional and alternative treatments without success, this is my best option, and I feel hopeful and positive that it will bring me some brighter and healthier days in the near future.

While most of my basic daily needs are covered, there are many expenses involved which I simply cannot cover. My most urgent need is a good recliner as I'll need it for sleep and comfort post surgery, and potentially for months afterwards. There are other things (special pillows, clothing items, etc.) I'll need to make life easier for me during my long healing process.

Help with meals, the kids, transportation, and other unknowns will be shared and requested as I discover them. I don't want the entire burden to fall on my partner and children, as my recovery will be very challenging for them too. Since some people prefer alternatives to fundraising sites, I'll be setting up an Amazon wishlist and paypal address. I know not everyone is in a position to help, and trust me, I understand. Friendship and emotional support are helpful, too. This is going to be a long process, and those who stay in touch make things a little bit easier to handle.  Thank you for anything you can do to make this journey a little easier for me. It's been a long road already, and I wouldn't be here without you all.
