Jerald Jones Cancer Battle
Donation protected
For those of you that don't know, Jerald is fighting for his life and we want to come along side he and Jan in prayer and support. Jerald loves his wife, his family, his friends, his church family, his customers and his team. Jerald and Jan love spending time together and love being in the outdoors kayaking and appreciating life.
Enclosed is a quick update on their journey and their need.

Jerald has been an integral part of Sunbelt Fire for over 12 years, serving as the Parts Manager. He worked closely with fire departments all across the Southeastern US to provide parts in order to keep his customers' trucks up and ready to respond to and protect their citizens. Jerald has truly lived out his Company's passion of "Serving Those Who Save and Protect Lives".
The story, told from Jan's perspective starts out in May of 2019. "We were going about our normal life when Jerald started having some unusual symptoms. We thought he might be having a stroke so we made our way to the emergency room. After some preliminary tests, the doctor came back and said, “There’s no easy way to say this, you have a brain tumor.”"
Their lives were turned upside down instantly. They were forced to make arrangements, share news with family, prepare for the worst, and then wait until Jerald could be scheduled for surgery.
Jerald underwent surgery ten days later to remove as much of the brain tumor as possible. From a biopsy conducted, the doctors determined the tumor was, in fact, cancer. Jerald was diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma, which is the most aggressive cancer that begins within the brain.
After a period of healing from brain surgery, Jerald has been through a series of 30 radiation treatments and 6 weeks of chemotherapy. He now is continuing treatment with maintenance chemotherapy.

As you can imagine, the medical costs Jerald and Jan have faced and will continue to face are astronomical. They continue to tell their friends and family that they look, completely, to their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to provide and sustain them during this time, both physically and financially. We also know that obedience, at times, requires humility. Jerald and Jan's friends and family, here at Sunbelt, have asked if they would be open to support through GoFundMe. They have humbly conceded and would appreciate if you would consider supporting them financially and through prayer as they continue this fight.
"Jerald has overcome a lot in these 5 short months and, Lord willing, he hopes to have a lot more life to live!"
Thank you so much for taking the time to read about this battle and for any financial support that you can help these special people with. We would appreciate your prayers and please feel free to share this with your friends.
