Jerame "Tilt" Tyree Memorial Fund

So many of us have been devastated by the abrupt passing of our dear friend Tilt Tyree. He was deeply loved and brought so much joy into so many lives. In every way, he was a brother and a confidante that is irreplaceable and leaves this world brighter than he found it, but dimmer by his loss. Through music, humor, sheer charm and kindness, he shaped our lives and brought friendships together in the powerful orbit of his goodwill and love for life. His life was not an easy one, but he lifted the burdens of others in every opportunity. He was passionate about building a better world, fighting for the dignity and humanity of every person. His final days were spent walking in solidarity with recent protests calling for reform and equality, and he found his greatest satisfaction in imagining a moment of change so close and so real.

As he leaves this world, we, his family of friends, so blessed by his presence in our lives, would like to ease this transition for his mother and brother as much as possible. Please take a moment to give whatever you can. He was always ready and willing to drop everything and reach out, bring peace, send love. Let's remember him through our own generosity and resolve.

The majority of the funds raised from this campaign will be used to pay for Tilt's cremation, interment, and memorial service at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in California.  A portion of the funds will be used to settle some of Tilt's outstanding debts.  Any remaining money will be provided directly to Tilt's family.  At the request of his mother, this process is being managed by a few of Tilt's friends including Micah Player, Diona Reasonover, Jeremy Harmon, Keiko Agena, Erica Summers, Mandy McFarland, Ben Crosby, and Jeff Dotson.  Jeff Dotson has been tasked with direct management and disbursement of funds raised.  This process is overseen and supervised by the rest of the group.

Additional details about the interment and memorial service will be provided to all donors as soon as arrangements are made. We hope to have a large memorial service for Tilt in about a year, or whenever limitations on large gatherings due to COVID-19 are lifted.
