Jeremiah Dougherty with Medical & Travel Expenses

Hi, my name is Courtney, and I am starting this fundraiser for my father-in-law Jeremiah Dougherty. Jeremiah is a wonderful father, grandfather, friend, dog-lover and business owner. Anyone who knows Jeremiah knows that he is a fighter, lover, and treasure in anyone's life.

In November, we discovered that Jeremiah has a rare cancer called Leptomeningeal Disease, which has caused many tumors in his spine and a few lesions in the brain. The belief is that this came from the lung cancer he had three years ago, and there had to be a few cancer cells passed to his spine and brain and went unknown after treatment until now. The tumors in his lower spine are pressing on nerves, which have caused extreme pain, numbness, and inability to walk easily, if at all, on some days. Jeremiah has just finished up a round of aggressive radiation. He is taking time to recover, but doctors are not confident it is helping, as his symptoms have not improved. Doctors gave Jeremiah up to 6 months to live, which has now turned to 6 to 12 weeks. December 15th, Jeremiah will be headed to Seattle to see experts at Fred Hutch Center to see if there are other options for medical care. We are unsure what the future holds, but we are hopeful that the Seattle doctors will have the knowledge to help. We are asking you all to please help donate to Jeremiah's medical and travel costs. Jeremiah has spent most of his life helping others, and now we are hoping we can help him as much as we can.
