Jeremiah was a loved son, brother, nephew, friend and a teammate to many who looked up to his character.

A humble student, Jeremiah graduated from Lowell High School, UMass Lowell and was pursuing a Phd degree at University of Buffalo's Medicinal Chemistry department.

While balancing the demands of academics, athletics, and many of his part time jobs, Jeremiah always proudly displayed a smile on his face to friends and family no matter how big his challenges were. He never forgot his Kenyan roots or his Boston sports teams.

A faithful member of the church, Jeremiah was a young prominent role model in the Kenyan community of Lowell.

He will be missed by many.

The family of Jeremiah Karanja are seeking emotional and spiritual support but also any financial contributions that would help in paying for Jeremiah's funeral expenses:

-Transporting the body from US to Kenya
