Jeremiah's Journey-support to battle brain cancer
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Megan and I am raising funds for my nephew Jeremiah along with family expenses for the Jobe family. My brother Nick and sister in law Whitney have three children. Their middle child Jeremiah is 12 years old and just received the devastating diagnosis of brain cancer. These funds will be sent directly to the Jobe family to help recover from medical bills, lost wages, physical and speech therapy costs, travel costs, etc. Most of all, these funds will be used to lift the heavy burden of money off their shoulders so they can focus on the complete recovery of Jeremiah and their entire family.
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."- Jeremiah 29:11
Summary:
Jerimiah Jobe is 12 years old and is a 7th grade student at Moore Middle School in Celina, Texas. After about 10 days of intermittent headaches and vomiting as well as three different ER visits he finally became unreponsive on September 2nd, 2022 and got a CT of his head. Getting to that diagnosis was very traumatic. That night he was intubated and transfered to Children's Dallas ICU and was diagnosed with a large brain tumor on his cerebral cortex. The type of tumor is Medulloblastoma.
On September 8, 2022 he underwent an extensive surgery to remove the large tumor. They were able to successfully remove 98% of the tumor. He will undergo several months of radiation and chemotherapy for what remains. Most of this will have to be done in the hospital. Although everyone wants him home as soon as possible, he currently has no planned discharge date in the foreseeable future.
Jeremiah now has right sided facial droop and difficulty speaking and swallowing due to the surgery. We hope and pray that those complications will get better with time and therapy, but it is too early to tell.
There are a multitude of complications that will likely require a third surgery. This will obviously reset the recovery process again.
Please considering donating as the medical costs will mount quickly. More importantly, please pray for Jeremiah and that his body would be healed and pray for the entire Jobe family as they navigate this difficult time of life.
Let’s lift this family up and support them along this journey. Let’s give big. And let’s pray bigger. They need big prayers for Jesus to do big things for Jeremiah. We ask because we know Jesus can.
Let’s be the hands and feet of Christ and support this sweet family.
