We learned to day that sometime over Saturday/Sunday he had a stroke. his symptoms were very mild on Saturday; we thought it was either post COVID vasovagal syncope or vertigo. But his symptoms still persisted. We got him into the doc —- they thought too that it was vertigo. but tonight around 730 he was so dizzy he couldn’t stand, had right sided numbness , couldn’t walk and couldn’t swallow so we called the squad. once we got to UH portage, they told us that the CT scan said that he had a right sided vertebral ischemic stroke. which apparently is really hard to catch while it is happening (like what was going on 

Saturday/Sunday.)

The mri reviled that he also had a larger stroke in the medulla- which explains his issues with his balance and swallowing. There will be a lot of rehab work ahead of him ; but hopefully we can get him back to the same Jeremy that runs around everywhere!
