Jeremy Henley's Medical Travel Expenses

I wanted to start this GoFund Me Account for my good friend and co-worker, Stacy Harris and her son, Jeremy Henley and his wife, Ciarra. Jeremy Henley is a Captain with the Walton Correctional Institution and he and his family just recently received some news that has rocked his entire world and that of his family's.
As Jeremy's wife, Ciarra and their children and the remainder of the family and friends are processing what is the next chapter in their life after surgery, and healing. This is a little about Jeremy's diagnosis from his wife Ciarra:
You may have recently seen a few posts about us going on pause with fostering due to some upcoming events. So I wanted to post an update here for family and friends following along so you can read my statuses to keep up so I’m not repeating 500 times.
I’ll start from the beginning:
When Jeremy was 7 he had heart surgery. He has a coarctation of the aorta and a bicuspid valve (a normal is a tricuspid). He has had to have regular checkups with his cardiologist over the years. Last month after a physical for work led him to follow up with his cardiologist we didn’t get great news. His valve has gone from a moderate to a severe leak. His records were sent to Shands at Gainesville. We were there Tuesday this week and met the cardiologist. Jeremy will be having open heart surgery on Halloween, October 31st. He will be getting a mechanical valve. We will have a 7-10 day hospital stay and then 8-12 weeks to full recovery (he will be up and moving and I won’t have to stay with him that entire time but he will have to allow his sternum bone to heal back).
Arrangements have been made with grandparents for the kids. Some people have also began reaching out to offer prayers, meals, etc... we def appreciate everyone wanting to help. We’ve been given a lot of information in a short amount of time and our brains have been a little overwhelmed so as we navigate through these next few days and weeks I will try to update you all as we go.
❤️ thank you so much to our village.
I hate to see my good friend hurting, as well as not knowing what the future holds for her son and his family. I have started this Go Fund Me page to help with Ciarra's hotel stay, if needed, and for her meals, and for monetary assistance for gas from the Panhandle to Gainesville, as well for the family taking care of their children in their absence. Ciarra is definitely right in saying that it takes a village. Their whole family needs us village and prayers.
