Jeremy has agreed to western treatment

Jeremy Jarvis is a cherished community member not only here on Maui but far & wide. Multifaceted social butterfly that they are, they weave a connecting thread through varying different groups and subcultures that don’t often overlap. Raised in Hawaii by granola crunching hippies who instilled core values of Aloha and responsibility, Jeremy has been a lifelong social justice advocate/activist. As an altruistic vegan chef Jeremy’s been known to feed anyone who’s hungry as often as possible. 19-year active member of the recovery community as well as a cherished member of Maui’s local punk rock scene offering wisdom and understanding to the youth.

As a DJ at Mana’o Radio, Maui’s local all-volunteer run radio station, they share revolutionary, feel-good music that is a gift to all who tune in. An undying supporter of the underdog, on their beloved show, The Best Day Ever they use their platform to uplift marginalized communities, raise awareness, and promote local, up and coming underrepresented artists. Jeremy is constantly giving back to any community they find themself in with loving kindness and is always trying to hype others up.

Currently, Jeremy needs our help in a major way. Four years ago, they were diagnosed with Oropharyngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma, a cancer of the head and neck and decided to approach therapy with more traditional holistic methods. Thanks to the generous help of countless angels in human form was able to shrink the tumor and was on the mend…

In the last year however the cancer has become far more aggressive and less responsive to the nonconventional methodology that was so beneficial at first. Thanks to the gentle yet firm nudging of a few of their dearest friends they have become willing to embrace western healing modalities and as of 8/22 has begun the process of radiation and chemotherapy.

Jeremy lives a spiritual, service-centered life & has a knack for making everyone around them feel seen, heard, and loved. Truly a reflection of Aloha, they are continuously giving back to the community through mentorship, activism and supporting noble causes.

Jeremy needs our support for living and medical expenses as the radiation and chemotherapy progresses. Anything at all helps, even if it is just sharing this fundraiser or offering prayers, hugs and kind words.
