Jeremy Pedersen motorcycle accident fundraiser

Hi, my name is Lauren and I am helping my friends, Jeremy, Aja, and Maggie with organizing this fundraiser to help with medical and living expenses associated with Jeremy’s very serious motorcycle accident that occurred on Friday 8/5/22.

Jeremy was on his motorcycle and after taking off from a light, someone unfortunately pulled out left in front of him inflicting very serious injuries. Luckily he wasn’t far from a hospital and was taken to St. Joe’s trauma unit where he would undergo emergency surgery. He sustained an open book pelvis fracture, a broken wrist, lacerations to his legs, one of which a very deep and gnarly chunk from his knee as well as a tear in his urethra which may require surgery as well. He was wearing a helmet and thank goodness suffered no head injuries. As for the bike and helmet they of course are completely demolished.

Jeremy is looking at months of recovery and possibly a short stay at a rehab facility to get back on his feet. He works with his hands for a living and unfortunately won’t be able to work for quite some time and will receive no income. As with all auto accidents, there is always the uncertainty of medical bill costs and there’s never any decent timeline as to when help from insurance companies can be expected. Not to mention there are some projects that are in progress around the house including a full remodel of the master bathroom. With an injury like an open book pelvis fracture it will be nearly impossible to get in and out of the guest bathtub and so the master bathroom project (that Jeremy has been working on himself and is currently at ground zero) will need to be completed by someone else. Being able to have this done and finished will be especially helpful in his recovery.

The goal of this fundraiser is to help ease the intense stress (all mental, physical and financial) that comes with a serious and unexpected event such as this. I just want to help my friends stress less and focus on healing. Any donation is immensely appreciated. ❤️‍
