We're fundraising for an amazing young man, Jermichael.

Background:

Jermichael is 19, lives at home with his mom Shermaine and helps support the family. He is the youngest of 3 sons and is a loving uncle and grandson, and has recently become engaged to his girlfriend!

His family has had many heartbreaks in the past year. His oldest brother passed away in March 2022, leaving behind Jermichael and his older brother Joseph to be wonderful uncles/fathers to 4 beautiful children. His grandmother suffered a stroke and is currently a few months into her recovery. His aunt is on dialysis and will need a kidney soon. Through all of this, Jermichael and his family have held strong and come together in their time of need.

What Happened:

He was in a horrific car accident, where the vehicle caught fire, and suffered countless injuries, the worst of which is a broken neck and compressed spinal cord. He currently relies on a machine to breathe for him and is paralyzed from the neck down.

Why we're fundraising:

Jermichael's medical care and recovery will take time and especially donations from caring community members like you! His mom, Shermaine, has been out of work since the accident, caring for him at the hospital while attending to his medical and financial needs. His family is doing what they have done for the past year on their own, but they could use your support! Donating to this GoFundMe will help Jermichael and his family with many things during this time, as they have sacrificed much of their time and resources to be there for him in his recovery; medical and recovery expenses, food and living expenses, travel and medical transport, etc.
