Jerry Farber's Walk On Hope
Donation protected
Comedian Jerry Farber loves to make people laugh. Now, at 83 years young, he's stepping out onto another stage: the open road. Jerry's kicking off a walk on September 26, 2021 from Columbus, GA to Savannah, GA to raise awareness about homelessness and its impact.
For Jerry, this isn't a passing fancy. This is the passionate pursuit of a calling, the culmination of decades of working behind-the-scenes to support the people who need it most. People without shelter, without clothing, and often ... without hope.
Jerry knows a thing or two about homelessness. As a volunteer and Board member of the now closed Peachtree Pine homeless shelter in Atlanta , Jerry saw first-hand the suffering of people who literally had nothing but the clothes on their back. The issue of homelessness was already a major one before the COVID pandemic. Now, a year later, it's become a crisis.
Jerry has called his beloved Georgia "home" for the last six decades. He plans to walk through small towns and along country roads on a 300 + mile journey. He's hoping to meet people and help raise awareness and money for the underserved and disadvantaged.
Jerry won't be alone. He's asking others to join him on the road in a show of support and compassion.
Together we can all Walk On Hope.
Please help Jerry to raise much needed funds for the homeless.
Your donation will mean so much to so many!
