Jerry Massey Motorcycle Accident

Hi, my name is Amanda Brunson and a dear friend Lynn Adams Massey's husband was recently in a motorcycle accident involving a deer.

Here's his story. Long story short, from his wife Lynn.

On Oct. 25th, 2022, my devoted husband Jerry Massey, was involved in a traumatic motorcycle accident. He was on his way home in Newport right at the Impact Church, heading towards York, when a large doe jumped from his left side leaping across to the other side of the road striking him mid leap. His entire left side from head to waist was impacted. His injuries include: 10-12 staples in scalp, fractured skull, small brain bleed, road rash on forehead, front left chest, lower left back, broken clavicle, EVERY rib on left side, collapsed left lung, broken right thumb. He has 2 pins in right thumb, 7 plates and screws in ribs 3-8 front AND back. He was originally taken to Piedmont then air lifted to CMC Surgical Trauma ICU. His recovery will take many months.

We have NO Medical Ins.

He is a dedicated electrician and will miss 2 to 4 months of work. I also have missed work and will only be working a day or two here and there.

He lost his riding coat and Harley Davidson black leather vest that was very sentimental to him, and his glasses were also destroyed.

Any amount will help. Every dollar adds up. Right now his wife is missing work, and traveling back and forth to Charlotte, gas and food get expensive as well as the medical bills piling up now and in the near future during recovery.
