Jerry O'Donnell "The Voice of Dow Diamond"

In March of 2023, Jerry O’Donnell was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic thyroid cancer. Upon the diagnosis, Jerry began an aggressive treatment plan with weekly visits to the U of M Cancer Center. The cancer has spread rapidly and forced Jerry to make the difficult decision to cease treatments and focus on end-of-life care.

Jerry has been the voice of Dow Diamond as the Loons public address announcer since the team’s inception in 2007 and the Director of Production & Operations for 100.9-FM since 2008. Prior to joining the Loons Jerry was a news producer at WNEM TV5. He enjoyed a very successful radio career that began in the 1980’s, serving as an air talent and programming director for a number of radio stations, including WGER, Cumulus Media, and Citadel Broadcasting. Jerry is also passionate about supporting non-profits and has donated his talent as an MC auctioneer for countless fundraising events.
