Jerry Williams Memorial & Family Support

Donation protected
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jerry Williams, age 67, the kindest, most fun, intelligent, and gifted musician.

We are all heartbroken as Jerry died unexpectedly. He was perfectly fine before the holiday but passed away from a short illness after Christmas. This Christmas was one of the most cherished times for the family.

As his family mourns, we ask that in lieu of flowers, you consider donating to this funeral fund that will both help with his memorial service and hopefully support his daughters, Lauren and Michaela with their higher education expenses as they will navigate their future without their beloved father.

His wife, Wendy Williams, says Jerry would love nothing more than for his life to be celebrated by supporting a budding musician by attending a live music event or planting a tree in his honor. He would always say, "I never met a tree I didn't like."

His funeral will be Saturday, January 14th.

---- A note from his niece ----

My Uncle Jerry understood me, he saw me and made me feel like I was the most special person in the room. But I know that's how he made everyone feel. He had that beautiful ability with people. I know we're all going to miss his quick wit humor, his laugh that would make you laugh because of its force, his twinkling teasing eyes and, oh gosh, his music. His incredible music. I could never quite give his music justice when I'd play it on my flute... but I enjoyed playing the songs he wrote.

My first memory of Uncle Jerry was when I was 4 years old playing in the backyard with all my cousins. Our favorite game? Have uncle Jerry play "tag you're it." It didn't matter if it was in July and 100+ degrees outside. He'd play the game. He was the first person who made me feel like I was funny. He'd laugh SO hard at my jokes. It gave me confidence. I could always be myself around Uncle Jerry. I felt his love. Coca-Cola and black sunglasses make me think of him. He was my cool rock'n'roll idol. He's a legend in our family and I'm devastated for my beautiful Aunt Wendy and sister-like cousins, Lauren and Michaela. Your donations will be so appreciated.
