Jerry Zehring’s Family

Hello, my name is Beth, and my husband is Steve Smith (cousin of Jerry Zehring).

Jerry’s life was taken tragically on November 5th due to a senseless act in which he was shot and killed by a gunman, who had killed two women before killing him.

This senseless act has robbed the Zehring/Smith family of one of the most loving, genuine, honest, caring, good-hearted, respected husband, father, son, uncle, cousin and friend. Jerry was 55 years young and married to his sweetheart Cathy for 29 years. Jerry and Cathy made a home and life together, which included their son, Terry. Jerry was an avid hunter and spent a great deal of time in the woods at camp doing what he loved most with his close friends and family- hunting deer.

Jerry was a family man who always made time for his immediate and extended family and close friends. He would literally take the shirt off his back for anyone who ever needed anything.

We are heartbroken for Cathy, Terry, and our family during terrible, unimaginable time. We would like try and alleviate any financial burden from Cathy and Terry. We would be grateful for any donations you would be willing to give. These donations will go towards funeral and any other unforeseen expenses that Cathy and Terry will be responsible for.
