Jess' lymphoma journey

Hey everyone! Jess' story starts last February when she found out she was anemic because of a mass in her belly. We deemed it "Billy" and Billy was caused by FOLLICULAR LYMPHOMA. Obviously we were all shocked. But... 6 rounds of RChop chemo, she lost her hair but not her fighting spirit. She felt better and was in remission! We got to celebrate with ice cream sundaes but that only lasted until early 2023. We found out that her PET scan showed cancer in her groin lymphnodes.
Jessica met with her "team" which is 2 doctors, 3 nurses, a social worker and financial advisor. She previously had follicular lymphoma but it's grown to a high grade b-cell lymphoma that's more aggressive. She is a candidate for a treatment called car-t and a clinical trial. She had an echo this week and next week has a spinal tap and brain MRI for approval of treatment. She's excited to have a plan finally but we're just waiting for all of the scheduling. Car-t is 35 days long that she will be in KC for but 7 days hospital stay. They say this is the best route for her and I pray that it is! Since it's more aggressive and she's having symptoms, they'll do chemo to keep it in check while car-t is scheduled.
Big prayer time! If there is anything you can do financially, Jessica's bills are rolling in and it would be amazing to help her. God has a plan and I know that her story will inspire others to never give up. Praye
rs to all and so much thankfulness. God bless!
