Help Jess ‘Roar’ at the WSJ Korea 2023
Donation protected
Hi my name is Jess and I am fundraising in order to attend the World Scout Jamboree in Korea in 2023. I was selected along with 3,240 other UK scouts. I am part of 83rd Brunel Bustards Unit representing Wiltshire Scouts.
The World Scout Jamboree will be a group effort of 18months work for young people and their volunteer leaders who together are called the UK contingent. In preparation for a ‘roar some’ time ahead the UK contingent have adopted a logo of the Siberian Tiger, the national animal of Korea. They have named the tiger ‘Chingu’ a word that means friend in Korean.
Between now and July there will be training camps and team building events preparing me to live on the hot and humid site of SaeManGeum, Korea.
To participate I need to fundraise and I am doing this through a whole variety of means, this page, hosting a quiz night, a garage sale and pop-up café and more.
I would really appreciate any help you can provide me by donating to my fundraising campaign.
The funds also help scouts in poorer nations to attend the WSJ.
Many thanks for any donation large or small.
Jess
