Jess' School The World Guatemala Trip

Hi! I'm Jess, and I've been given the opportunity to participate in a once-in-a-lifetime volunteering trip to Guatemala with the company I work for in partnership with School The World. I'm one of seven employees selected to participate, and through this partnership, I will have the chance to help build a new school and/or playground, have the opportunity to interact with the local community, and learn the challenges around international education and poverty.

School the World brings sustainable education to rural communities in Central America. In the past 14 years, the organization has built 127 schools and 64 playgrounds, trained 7,400 teachers, engaged 8,075 parents, and served over 15,350 students.

IMG (the company that I work for) are covering the majority of the costs, however I need to fundraise the remaining £500 by December 31st. I feel incredibly honoured to have the chance to participate, and hope that you will help me achieve this!
