Jesse and Jayde Lafferty’s preemie baby Makoa

Baby Makoa was born 2 months early at 32 weeks. Jesse was rushed to hospital with severe pre eclampsia and urgently medivacced to Edmonton for further treatment and ultimately an emergency c-section leading to the very premature birth of baby Makoa. They have now been in Edmonton for 3 weeks in th NICU being closely monitored by medical staff, unsure when they can return home to Yellowknife.

Jesse and Jayde also have a 6 year old boy Ares who just arrives in Edmonton after being away from mom and dad for an extended period of time due to their current situation.

This has caused financial stress on the family and any help is greatly appreciated as it gives the family time to be with baby and heal without worry.
