Jesse Donohoe Bike Rider Shot 12 Times

My cousin Jesse was senselessly shot 12 times while riding his bike home in Baltimore MD. By the grace of god, the luck of the Irish and the medical geniuses at Johns Hopkins he is still walking and talking and is the same Jesse we all know and love. He was released from the hospital after only 2 weeks and has a long road ahead of him.

Jesse J Donohoe was the victim of a senseless, extremely violent crime. He was shot 12 times by an unknown perpetrator while riding his bike home in Baltimore on October 13, 2022.

Amazingly, by the grace of God, and the literal hundreds of hands and brilliant minds at the shock trauma center at Johns Hopkins- they not only saved his life, but his ability to walk, talk, and still be the Jesse we know and love.

He has progressed from critical to stable condition and a few days ago-bullet riddled but smiling- was moved out of the ICU to a post op recovery floor where he is receiving the world class care only JHU can provide.

Breathing tube out, but a few bullets left in, he is at the starting line of a long, painful recovery. But one he-and every single surgeon, nurse, therapist, social worker, ect involved- is bewildered he even has. To say this is a miracle of modern medicine is a vast understatement.

Long term acute inpatient rehab is the next step-as long as no more operations are needed-followed by years of physical therapy and a litany of medical issues.
